The project aims to explore transparent, textured and three-dimensional surfaces with knitted jacquards by abstracting the notions and characteristics of traditional knitted archetypes such as knitted cable and lace knit. The focus of the investigation is on bindings, materials and colours and how each of these elements can be used to emphasise different textures or relief effects within cable patterns.
The collection positions itself in the field of decorative wall hangings and high-end knitwear and has its foundation in new jacquard knitting features from Stoll in an attempt to widen the field of knitting.
